Getcha' war paint on!

Face paint is not just for kids anymore. Perfect for the weekend, just throw on a few stripes or a well-placed star and you're in full party mode. *Thanks for the inspiration, DP Ponies ;)

If Bowie can do it, so can you ;)

[rediviva] was invited to snap shots at the Ferrari Club of America's hang out session today hosted by the newly renovated Celilo Inn. The Inn is situated high on the rocks overlooking the Nothern landscape. It's lovely and this evening it was particularly sexy. Over 50 hot and heavy cars were here and this included 3 Lambo's and an Alpha Romeo. Enjoy the photos, you can tell we enjoyed ourselves.

Hey Mark Nilsson!

[r] What are you listening to right now!
mark: When not listening to NPR, I like to jam to high energy dance music or deep house like dj tiesto, oakenfold and kaskade. And it might be cheesy, but I'm loving Kylie Minogue's new cd! It's like a gay summer anthem!

Artist Statements

With so many artists around here, surely there are a few artists that can agree that writing an artist statement can be difficult or time consuming, what do you say? How do you keep it from being a boring or worse, a pretentious bio?

So in New York this June, at the Dead or Alive exhibit at the new Design Museum there was the above piece of work from Damien Hirst. And his artist statement read like this: "I love color. I feel inside me, it gives me a buzz." -DH.

Artists don't have to sound smart or go on and on about your education or why you did what you did. Thanks Damien for taking it down a notch!

Scott Cook's new book!

Curious Gorge
is primarily a hiking guide to the Gorge, but with a twist. The author also includes many places the typical hiking guide leaves out — the drive-to viewpoints, trail-less excursions to hidden waterfalls, places to watch salmon spawn, or gorge oddities such as the Trout Lake Ice Cave.
